Mary Cecil (Christian) Goddard, age 63 of Vandalia, passed away Sunday, Feburary 14, 2010 in Grandview Hospital. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on May 13, 1946 the daughter of Wendell Forrest & Cora Margurite (Blofeld) Christian. She was a Graduate of Jefferson High School. Mary enjoyed boating, bowling, crochet, reading, and old movies, she also led a Christian Life and enjoyed religious programs on television. Mary''s greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Shelly (Jeff) Deaton and Missy (Rob) Stith, grandchildren Stacy & Mandy Ross, Megan & Dylan Deaton, Josh, Breann, & Cam Stith, great grandchildren Alexis West & Tayler Weiss, sister Lilly Doss, brothers Bud Christian, Rich (Marlene) Christian, John (Kay) Christian, Dave Christian, Jerry Christian, Bernie Christian, Bill (Ronda) Christian and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Wendell Forrest Christian, her mother Cora Margurite (Blofeld) Karns, sister-in-laws Gail Christian and Sue Christian.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City, Ohio 45373. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
