Mary Lousie Littlejohn, age 97 of Piqua and formerly of Christiansburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Brookdale of Piqua. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 1, 1927, the daughter of Robert & Della (Klinger) Zimmerman. She worked at Master Electric in Dayton for a few years and then retired from Copelands in Sidney after working there for many years. She was a member of the Christiansburg United Methodist Church where she served in many roles. She served many meals at the children's "DOG House" each week and at Bible school each summer. She loved the church Easter Egg project where she ran the mixer each year. She cleaned the church for many years and along with her husband, Kerm, prepared the Communion each month. She loved quilting and was member of the Homemaker's Club for several years. Mary was very well known in the Christiansburg community, especially as a renowned "Pie Baker". Her black raspberry pie usually received the highest bid at the community pie auction each summer.
She is survived by her children Barney (Marisa) Littlejohn of Covington, Teresa (Dennis) Overcash and Shelly (Bob) Heath both of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren Mark (Shelia) Overcash, Misty (Michael) Coshatt, Brayden (Cassidy) Heath, Boston Heath, Baylor Heath, Michael (Cathy) Henne and Dawn Cantrill; great grandchildren Skyler Overcash, Logan Edwards, Hunter Edwards, Hallie Coshatt, Gavin (Yenifer) Coshatt, Finn Heath, Teddy Heath, Milo Heath, Zach Henne, Lilly Henne, Christopher Cantrill, Colin Cantrill, Shelby (Clint) Bulcher and Ariona Grisham; great-great grandchildren Shayna, Brynlee and Reid Bulcher and Mac Coshatt; a brother Harvey Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 73 years Kermit "Kerm" Littlejohn; and a brother Ralph Zimmerman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, corner of Monroe and Third Street, Christiansburg, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:30 am at the church with Pastor Jordan McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 407, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389 or the Christiansburg Fire Co., P.O. Box 300, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be made to the family through this online guestbook.
