Mary Ann Thompson, age 89 of Dayton passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Meadowbrook Care Center, Cincinnati. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 1, 1928 the daughter of Thomas Jefferson & Dorathea Mae (Weaver) Collins. She was a member of the Wesleyan Evangelistic Church, Dayton.

She is survived by her children Samuel Thompson, Beverly Burroughs, Paul Thompson Jr., Cindy Cornelius, Kenneth Thompson, Lois Thompson; 10 grandchildren, sisters Helen Hoover, Sarah Hymer, Esther Davis and a brother Joe Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul Thompson Sr., sisters Ruth Hackler and a brother Thomas Collins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. John Manley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
