Mary E. Werts, age 88, passed away on October 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale D. Werts in 2006. She is survived by her daughters Susan (Chuck) Hickey, Sharon Black, and Shirley (Tony) Shoup, and son David (Gina) Werts plus her grandchildren Dan (Olivia) Hickey, Tom (Sabra) Hickey, Betsy (Dan) Claman, Katie (Kay) Helfenberger, John (Jena) Hickey, ben Hickey, Colman Hickey, Greg (Stacy) Hickey, Tess Hickey, Annie (Ben) Maxwell, Mindy (Dustin) Swartz, Becca Shoup, Zack Shoup, Ayse Altunisik, plus 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Joan Strobridge and Nancy Weaver. Mary was born in Sinking Spring, Ohio in 1934. She moved to Tipp City when she was five years old and lived there until 2014 when she moved to Mechanicsburg, Ohio to be closer to family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the Tipp City Seniors, Inc., 528 N. Hyatt St., P.O. Box 376, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
