Merlyn T. Hedleston, age 83 of Tipp City, OH passed away December 2, 2011 at his home. He was born in Batesville, Ohio to James Kenneth and Eva Pauline Hedleston on January 21,1928. He served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corp from 1945-1949. After military service he proudly worked several years as a member of the Ohio State Patrol. He retired in 1990 after a long career working for the Cincinnati Insurance Co.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Louise Hedleston, brother Roger Hedleston, and sister Carol Hedleston.
He is survived by his brother Jack Hedleston of Dayton and his three children, sons Eric of Tipp City and Drew of Dayton and daughter Erin Durrance of Sarasota, Florida. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Tipp City.
There will be a small private service for at the convenience of the family at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
