Opal Fay Berger, age 87 of Huber Heights passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012. She was born in Ravenna, Kentucky on January 28, 1925 the daughter of Chester & Lilly (Young) Stamper.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years Leonard Johnie Berger, daughters Wanda J. Chasteen, and Jerald Hall, son Tommy Berger and his wife Kathy, grandchildren Tommy Berger Jr., Joy Chasteen, William Hall, Michelle Pyburn, Gary Hall, Jason Hall, and Lisa Edenfield, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Bruce and Leonard Perry, a daughter Ruby, brothers Ed Jr. and John, and sisters Okra and Osie.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
