Paul Hunt, age 87 of Beavercreek and formerly of Huber Heights, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 in Sterling House of Beavercreek. He was born in Maloneton, Kentucky on February 27, 1926 the son of Robert & Beatrice (Gahan) Hunt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Phillipines and Japan during World War II. He was a member the Masonic Lodge and the Antioch Shrine. He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vandalia.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy Hunt (Wayne) Barton, daughter-in-law Maxine Hunt, 5 grandchildren Chad (Nicole) Barton, Electa (Steve) Geiger, Tim Hunt, Todd (Lesley) Hunt, and Tom Paul (Candi) Hunt, 7 great grandchildren Logan, Maxtyn, Lexi, AJ, Melissa, Liam, and Ronnie, sister Avanell Bentely, sister-in-law Naneda Hunt, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years Electa Hunt, son James Thomas Hunt, 2 brothers Carl Hunt and Robert Hunt, and 2 sisters Naomi Morman, and Thelma Parker. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton and the staff at Sterling House of Beavercreek for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Craig. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Paul''s memory to the Kettering Assembly of God Food Pantry, 2250 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, Ohio 45429.
