Phyllis Jean Combs, age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Dayton on June 10, 1930 the daughter of Frederick & Louise (Williams) Wells. She was a member of the Vandalia First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her 4 daughters Gloria (Charles) Green of Indiana, Edna North of Dayton, Peggy (Bob) Russell of Kettering, and Penny (Aaron) Benningfield of New Mexico. She was a loving grandmother to several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and loved them all. She is also survived by 2 sisters Beverly Phillips and Linda Sowder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 daughters Darlene Marker and Patty Kelly.

A gathering of family and friends will held on Wednesday, October 14, 2105 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with John Seagraves officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
