Quentin William Hale, age 96 of Middletown and formerly of Florida passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 in Middletown, Ohio. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on December 14, 1919 the son of William and Elizabeth Jane (Mann) Hale. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in World War II and fought in many battles including the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy Beach and received 2 purple hearts. He retired from Armco Steel after 43 years.
He is survived by his 3 children Thomas L. (Lois) Hale, Deborah Stugmyer and Quentin Randolph Hale, 5 grandchildren Jennifer Fleury, Joe Stugmyer Jr., Julia Boylan, Lara Montanero, and Susan Hale, and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 74 years Eloise (Gillespie) Hale, and a sister Elenor Hale.
Per his request there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Middletown Hospice, 3909 Central Ave, Middletown, Ohio 45044.
