Ralph Edward Sager, age 91 of New Carlisle, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at Vancrest of New Carlisle. He was born in Sheatown, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1927 the son of John Sr. & Dorothy (Mayley) Sager. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked at NCR and Chemineer as a final inspector. He loved golf, football, basketball and baseball. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Dayton and attended Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City. Ralph always said "I had a blessed life". He was very outgoing and friendly and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Dale & Kathy Lynn Sager; grandchildren Christopher (Angela) Sager and Susan (David) Hughes and great grandchildren Adam, Bryanna, Gabe and Gracelynn Bozarth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years Marion Sager in 2009, and 2 brothers Charles Olen Sager and Jack Sager Sr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ralph's memory to First Lutheran Church, 138 W. First St, Dayton, Ohio 45402 or to Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W.
