Robert Virgil "Bob" Hefelfinger, age 87 of Troy, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Clayton,  Ohio on January 28, 1931 the son of Virgil & Genevieve May (Hart) Hefelfinger. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. He was involved in the Boy Scouts for many years and was a member of Polk Grove Church United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Dian (Hornbeck) Hefelfinger; children Kim (Tim) Nussbaum, Debbie (Ken) Sparks, Rachel (Linda) Jimenez, Robin (Pug) Jones, John Hefelfinger and Jenny (Rick) Banning; 18 grandchildren and several great and great great  grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Roger Lee Hefelfinger.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:30 am at the Troy Church of the Brethren, 1431 W. Main St., Troy, Ohio 45373 with Arnold Collett officiating. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
