Robert Edgar Lewis Jr., age 80 of Dayton passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in his residence. He was born in Dayton on February 10, 1936 the son of Robert E. Sr. & Mildred (Stapleton) Lewis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Germany during the Korean War, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #746 Northridge where he was a 2 term Past Commander. He retired as an Engineer from Chrysler.

He is survived by his 3 sons Craig (Kimberly) Lewis, Mike (Chung He) Lewis, and Mark Lewis, a daughter Susan Hall, 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, a sister Barbara (Mike) Ciani, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce Lewis, and sisters Shirley Pommell and Virginia Casper.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
