Roberta Jean Hardin, age 77 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Montour Falls, New York the daughter of Robert & Alice Jane (Cameron) Ackley. She worked at Henger's IGA in Vandalia and then was the office manager at the Dayton Academy of Gymnastics and Dance. She loved to do scrapbooking with her friends.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years George R. Hardin; daughters Deena (Jim) Weiler, Deneen (Fred) Smith and Jocelyn (Kip) Dickey; grandchildren Madeline (Jesse) Hughes, Kathleen Weiler, Caroline Weiler, Elizabeth Weiler, Ashleigh Smith (Jeff Palestrant), Tyler Smith and Sullivan Dickey; great grandson Jack Palestrant; brother Richard (Betty) Ackley; brother-in-laws Roy (Diana) Hardin and Roger (Janie) Hardin; niece Shantel Sustello; nephew Richard Ackley Jr.; several nieces and nephews; her special friends "Charlie's Angels".

She was preceded in death by her parents and their lifelong friends Bill & Jeri Camden.

A Celebration of Roberta's life will be held at a later date. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolence may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
