Littlejohn
March 28, 1942 – March 16, 2018
Roger L. Littlejohn, age 75 of New Carlisle passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, as a result of a tragic accident. He was born in Troy, Ohio on March 28, 1942, the son of Garnard & Lucille (Fisher) Littlejohn. He was a 1961 graduate of Christiansburg-Jackson High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after over 30 years. Many of those years were in the Gauge Room with his friends known as "The 3 Amigos". He is a lifelong member of the Christiansburg United Methodist Church where he serves on the Board of Trustees for many years. He is a member of the Christiansburg Fire Company for the past 31 years and has served as a trustee for 25 of those years and the treasurer for the past 10 years. He barbered in Troy and New Carlisle for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane (Heaston) Littlejohn, children Lynn & Jeff Cyr, Carrie & Brandon Melgaard, and Vince Littlejohn; grandsons Mason & Miles Melgaard, brothers and sisters Sherrie & Kurt Garver, Doug & Dena Drum, and Brenda & Jay Brandyberry; and he was actively engaged in the lives of his dear family, friends and community. He is also survived by his "special 4-legged barnyard oddities" especially Holly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Garnard, Lucille and Marilyn; and a son Curtis.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, at the corner of 3 rd and Monroe Streets, Christiansburg. There will be Fire Dept. services on Wednesday at 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 10:30 am at the Christiansburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Roger's memory to the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 407, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389 or the Christiansburg Fire Co., P.O. Box 300, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389. Condolences may be made to the family through this online guestbook.
