Ruth Maier, age 90 of Vandalia passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Hearth and Home of Vandalia. She was born in Pana, Illinois on April 9, 1922 the daughter of Frank & Leila (Sturgeon) Oller.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marcia and Brian Wenrick of New Carlisle, 4 sons David and his wife Donna Maier of Vandalia, Richard Maier of Libby Montana, Dan Maier of Vandalia, and Derrick Maier of Vandalia, 9 grandchildren Jason and Julia Wenrick, Jarod and Mari Wenrick, April and Dave Kremzar, Heather and Brent Stickel, Amanda and Dan Hayes, Ellen Maier, Miranda Coppersmith, Royce Maier, and Jarrett Maier, 10 great grandchildren Jacob, Noah, Raegan, Makara, Jaran, Darani, Aubrye, Dalan, Dawson, and baby girl Stickel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years Darell L. "Dick" Maier, 2 brothers Paul Oller and John Oller, and a sister Lucille Oller.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ruth''s name to Hospice. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
