Samuel Lee Poeppelman, age 22 of Tipp City, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Dayton on December 31, 2003, the son of Josh & Natalie (Cowell) Poeppelman. He was a 2022 graduate of Tippecanoe High School and currently a student at Sinclair Community College. Sam loved to take walks and explore the nature trails in the area. He enjoyed music, movies, animals and loved to learn about other cultures and languages.

He is survived by his mother Natalie Lowry; father Josh Poeppelman; brother Benjamin Poeppelman; sister Avalynn Lowry; maternal grandparents Breck & Julie Cowell; paternal grandfather Jeff Poeppelman; aunts and uncles Amanda Rea, Melanie Cowell, Wesley Cowell, Jason Poeppelman and Jeremy Poeppelman; and several cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Lora Poeppelman. Samuel was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend and will be missed by all who loved him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A service will be held on Friday at 6:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Kuhbander officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
