Shirley Louise (Horn) Jones, age 79 of Tipp City went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in her residence. She was born in Moorehead, Kentucky on January 3, 1938 the daughter of Woodrow & Eula (Roberts) Horn. She was retired from A.O. Smith and was a member of Tabernacle of Praise. She volunteered for many years at Hospice of Dayton. She enjoyed many things but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a hard worker all of her life and taught that value to her children. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by everyone.

She is survived by her loving daughter whom cared for her for many years Joanne (Don) Patton of Tipp City, daughters Marilyn (Jimmy) Billips of South Shore, Kentucky and Kim (Adam) Hall of New Carlisle, son Ronnie (Debbie) Jones of New Carlisle; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brother John (Roberta) Horn of Tipp City, Billy Horn of Tipp City and sister Diane Perry of Dayton; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 35 years Pearl Jones in 1989, son Michael Ray Jones, grandson Ronnie W. Jones, brother Donald Horn and sister Alberta Vulgamore.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City with Pastor Lanny Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
