Thelma Molly Smith, age 93 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on March 23, 1925 in Wallins Creek, Kentucky the daughter of Marsh and Gracie (Wilson) Shelton. She was a member of the Open Bible Church on Burkhardt St., Dayton. She enjoyed being with her family especially when she was cooking and baking for them.

She is survived by her children Sylvan F. Smith, James T. (Alice) Smith and Gracie D. (Tim) Rice; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother Bob Shelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years Herschel Smith; 2 sons Wallace and John Smith; daughter Sue Noble; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
