Thelma Walker, age 81 of Troy, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 in her residence. She was born in Cynthiana, Kentucky on August 16, 1930 the daughter of Gladys T. & Nellie M. (Garrison) Ritchie. She attended the Bradford Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children Beverly "Diane" Batner, Kenneth "Buddy" & Kelly Walker, Judy & Jim Brumbaugh and Leslie "Louie" & Lynne Walker, 6 grandchildren Nicole Scott, Jennifer Tait, Lacy Walker, Kara Walker, Trey Walker, and Anthony Heisey, 4 great grandchildren Spencer Tait, Leland Walker, Jayce Heisey, and Kailey Heisey, and 3 special friends Josie Adkins, Carleen Davis, and Diane Trader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 54 years Carl Walker in 2010.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Lewis Reindel officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
