Thomas Earl Miller, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at River Oaks in Miamisburg. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on December 5, 1939 the son of Earl Lawrence & Lois Eleanor (Jordan) Miller. He retired as a Captain from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service as an Aerospace Engineer. He was a former Bridge champion and for 10 years was the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Chess Champion. He loved archology and assisted in some archelogy work at the Hopewell Indian Mound in Chillicothe. He loved to participate in Ballroom Dance competitions also. He was an accomplished student, accumulating 2 Masters Degrees and 7 Bachelor's Degrees in the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Political Science, International Studies, Liberal Studies, Modern Languages, Anthropology, and Geography.

He is survived by his son Thomas (Nicole) Miller III; daughter Tammy (Tom) Merritt; grandchildren Emily (John) Stork, Hannah Greene, Kevin Miller, Ryan Miller and Sean Miller; and a sister Kay Shoults.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Walter Miller.
