Vera May Baker, age 92 of Clayton passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Englewood Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on June 29, 1926 the daughter of Ray & Ila (Bilger) Houk. Vera and her husband were Foster Parents for many years. She worked at Photo Sports, did upholstery on the side and had a love for chocolate. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Jenny (Dale) Rasor, Patty McGuire, Carl Lynn (Chrystal) Baker, David Lee (Donna) Baker and Samuel Charles Baker; 13 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren; a brother Noel Houk and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 41 years George C. Baker, and 8 brothers and sisters.

A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Services have been entrusted to the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
