Vernice J. "Mickey" Mescher, age 86 of Tipp City, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in her residence. She was born in St. Sebastian, Ohio on August 2, 1932 the daughter John H. & Cecilla (Holdheide) Broering. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Tipp City Senior Citizens. She will always be remembered for her beautiful ability to paint watercolor landscapes, her love of antiques that she so proudly refinished, and her desire to tell silly jokes and always remembering the punch line. She also enjoyed a glass of "mom juice" now and then to help maintain her and her children's sanity.

She is survived by her children Linda Coppock, of Gilbert, AZ., Barbara (Craig) Jones of Tipp City and Marvin (Sherry) Mescher of Vandalia; grandchildren Nicole (Danny) Mei, Meghan Coppock, Brett Jones, John and Clayton Mescher; great grandsons Brayden and Maddux Mei; sister Dorothy Boeckman of Ft. Loramie and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley Mescher in 2007 and 9 brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at the Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mickey's name to the Tipp City Senior Citizens, 528 N. Hyatt St., Tipp City.
