Virginia, I. Castles, age 82 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 in her residence. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 15, 1930 the daughter of Frederick & Viola (Oberer) Iseringhausen. She was a graduate of Capital University where she received her teaching degree. She taught in Valley Forge Elementary in Huber Heights for 21 years until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of the St. Paul''s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her 3 daughters Janice (Tony) Beckett, Beverly (Mark) Baker, and Lisa (Larry) Lowe, 4 grandchildren Aaron (Jessica) Baker, Christopher Beckett, Elise Baker, and Ariel Lowe, a brother Frederick Iseringhausen and a sister Phyllis (Davis) Conrad.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 53 years Frank E. Castles on September 18, 2012.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 5-7 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
