Wanda C. Plassenthal, age 87 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Kettering Medical Center. She was born in Pickett County, Tennessee on June 1, 1938, the daughter of John H. & Maude E. (Richardson) Clark. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, tending to her flowers and visiting with her neighbors. She loved to bake and cook and could make a meal out of anything. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and followed them from spring training to the end of the season each year.

She is survived by her sons Scott (Lisa) Plassenthal and Eric (Christina) Plassenthal; grandchildren Deborah (Chase) Ledford, Danyelle Plassenthal and Bo Plassenthal (Fiance Candice Bird); great grandchildren Ryder, Brystol and Bryer Ledford, Fiona Rivera and Reid Deaver; nephews Darryl Jennings, Tracy Hutchinson and Mark Haden; and also, her special dog Rudy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Norman Plassenthal in 2007 and several brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUENRAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Rose officiating. A burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
