William H. "Bill" Allen, age 76 of Troy, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Upper Valley Medical Center Hospice Unit, Troy. He was born in Christiansburg, Ohio on February 12, 1940 the son of Henry & Missouri (Rose) Allen. He was a 1958 gradute of Christiansburg Jackson High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired in 2002 from General Motors Delphi Moraine after 37 ½ years. He enjoyed woodworking, car shows, trapshooting, collecting antiques and his pride and joy his 2 grandsons.

He is survived by wife of 54 years, Deanna (Shafer) Allen, son Chad Allen, grandsons Brandon Allen, and Brian Allen, 3 sisters Hannah (Nelson) Hill, Violet (Carl) Stager, and Carolyn (Virgil) Mitchell, 6 nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Ronnie Mitchell.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Chaplain Ed Ellis. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
