William Lawrence Schaefer, age 61 of Tipp City passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 in his residence. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 9, 1952 the son of William J. & Geraldine L. (Stangle) Schaefer. He was an avid fan of auto racing and hockey and enjoyed history, aviation, Colorado and especially the Rocky Mountains.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Kay (Comer) Schaefer, 2 children Jacquelyn Anne Schaefer and Phillip William Schaefer, 6 brothers and sisters Tim (Carol) Schaefer, Cindy (Mike) Lauvray, Rick (Nora) Schaefer, Dave (Karen) Schaefer, Julie (Rob) Landon, Mary Ellen (Scott) Beam, 7 brothers and sisters-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A very casual gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Crossroads Christian Fellowship Hall, 18 East Broadway St., Tipp City. A memorial will be held on Wednesday immediately following at 7:00 pm at the Crossroads Christian Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Museum of the Air Force (Air Force Museum), at Development Office Air Force Museum Foundation Inc., P.O.
