William Franklin Smith, age 86 of Tipp City passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 in his residence. He was born on January 14, 1937 the son of Ruben & Bertha (Massie) Smith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served from January 1954 to January 1964. He then worked for Chrysler Air Temp in Dayton for 30 years.

He is survived by his sons Michael Smith, William Smith Jr. (Sheri Forsyth) and Adam Smith; daughter Amy (Harry) Watson; grandchildren Garrett Watson, Brooke Watson and Dustin Ofzky; great grandchildren Lily Ofzky and Ivy Ofzky; brother Don Smith; sisters Beulah Tucker, Emma Newsome, Betty Johnson and Barbara Pendley and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Raymond, George and Monfred Smith and a sister Margery Lucas.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
